How do I become a notary in Wyoming?

Is notary education required?
Wyoming has education and examination requirements for new and renewing applicants. Review the current Secretary of State Notary Education Presentation each term and follow the current application instructions.
Does Wyoming have an examination?
Yes. An applicant must pass an examination administered by the Secretary of State or an approved entity. Our proposed course exam is 20 questions with 14 correct answers required, subject to approval conditions.
Can Wyoming notaries perform remote notarizations?
Wyoming permits compliant remote acts. The notary must meet notice, appearance, identity, certificate, recording, and other applicable statutory requirements. The course distinguishes RON from RIN.
What does the course cover?
Twelve lessons cover commission duties, identity, notarial acts, certificates, stamps, journals, ethics, fees, electronic notarization, RON, RIN, and application scenarios.
Is Wyoming Notary Center part of the government?
No. The Web Corner, Inc. dba Wyoming Notary Center is an independent education business.
Is Wyoming Notary Center currently an approved provider?
Provider approval is pending. We do not currently represent this course as an approved-provider course.
How does the certificate work?
The system records coursework and examination completion. A state-submittable provider certificate is available only when the provider has written approval, issuance is enabled, and the learner meets the approved criteria.
How long do I have access to the course?

Can I retake the exam?
The proposed course policy allows another randomized attempt after reviewing missed topics. Any configured waiting period or attempt limit is shown before starting. Final approval conditions may change this policy.
